Chief Revenue Officer and Executive Vice President of Programming at Great American Media

Kristen Roberts is Chief Revenue Officer and Executive Vice President of Programming at Great American Media.  In this role, Roberts is responsible for the Great American Media’s advertising sales efforts and programming strategy for the company’s linear networks, Great American Family and Great American Living, and FAST channel Great American Adventures.  Since joining Great American Media in June 2021, Roberts has led an ambitious programming strategy highlighted by a slate of 14 original movies in 2021and 29 in 2022 – including 17 Christmas Movies, and a growing library of popular sitcoms, including “Full House” and “Fuller House,” which made its linear TV premiere on Great American Family in 2022.  In addition, Roberts led the company’s first ever Upfront sales efforts for 2022-’23, doubling revenue from the previous year.  Based in Great American Media’s New York office, Roberts reports to Bill Abbott, President and Chief Executive Officer at Great American Media.

Roberts is a seasoned industry veteran whose career in cable spans more than two decades.  Prior to joining Great American Media, Roberts served as EVP of Pricing, Planning, and Revenue Management at Crown Media Family Networks, where she oversaw the strategic analysis and management of all revenue streams for the company, including ad sales, digital, and distribution.  Prior to that, she was Senior Vice President of Advertising Pricing and Planning for Crown Media Family Networks, where she worked alongside finance, traffic, marketing and programming departments to ensure advertising opportunities were fully leveraged and oversaw all post-Upfront reporting and analysis for the ad sales and finance departments.

Earlier in her career, Roberts served as an account executive for A+E Television Networks creating Upfront proposals and customizing presentations for clients including as General Electric and Quick Step, and from 2000 to 2022 Roberts was an account executive for Hallmark Channel, during which time she secured partnerships with new blue-chip advertisers including General Motors, Outback Steakhouse, Subaru, and Hershey. Roberts began her career with Fox Family Channel.

Roberts is a five-time honoree for both the Cablefax 100 and Cablefax’s “Most Powerful Women in Cable.” She graduated from Villanova University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and marketing.
