Mead Rust

Vice President, Corporate Communications at Great American Media

As Vice President of Corporate Communications, Rust is responsible for setting the overall communications strategy for Great American Media, acting as lead spokesperson for the company and overseeing media relations for the brand portfolio, including Great American Family and Great American Living.  Rust joined Great American Media in August 2021 and is based in the company’s Connecticut office. 

Previously, Rust served as Vice President of Communications for WWE where he oversaw internal and external communications for the company, including corporate communications and media relations efforts supporting the WWE brand and lines of business, including global sponsorships, digital, WWE Studios, and other corporate priorities.

Prior to that, Rust was Senior Director of Corporate Communications for A+E Networks where he was responsible developing and implementing corporate communications strategies for the portfolio of brands, A&E, The History Channel and Lifetime, and lines of business including ad sales, distribution, digital and consumer enterprises.  Throughout his 17-year tenure at A+E Networks, Rust served in numerous progressive roles within the company’s corporate communications and corporate social responsibility divisions. 

A former board member for the Association of Cable Communications (ACC), Rust graduated from the ACC Cable Communications Institute, Class of 2015.  He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Colby College and graduated from Woodberry Forest School, where he currently serves on the school’s New York City Regional Association Board.
