Eric C. Neuman is Senior Advisor for Great American Media. Previously, Neuman served as managing director and partner of Hicks Equity Partners, LLC (“HEP”). HEP is the private equity investment arm of the Thomas O. Hicks family office. Among the companies for which Mr. Neuman has had investment responsibility during this period are Latrobe Specialty Metals, Inc., DirecPath Inc., Drilling Tools International, and Just Brakes, LLC. Previously, Mr. Neuman was a partner of Hicdks, Muse, Tate & Furst (“HTMF”) which he joined as a Vice President in 1993 and of which he became a partner in 2000. At HMTF, he was involved in the formation, acquisition, development, and oversight of most of the firm’s media investments, including Chancellor Media and Capstar Broadcasting (which were merged into Clear Channel Communications), Sunrise Television and Marcus Cable. In 2002, he assumed partner responsibility for HMTF’s Latin American business, most of which involved media investments.
Mr. Neuman has served since 2013 as a member of the Board of Directors, and as Chairman of the Audit Committee, of Hemisphere Media Group, Inc. a publicly traded owner and operator of pay television networks, broadcast platforms and streaming operations, and a producer of content for all three platforms. Previously, Mr. Neuman served from 2001 to 2011 as Executive Chairman of the board of Fox Pan American Sports, which was created in 2001 and quickly became a leading provider of Spanish-language sports television programming to U.S. and Latin American pay television operators, and from 2001 to 2009 he served as Vice Chairman of Claxson Inc., a publicly traded provider of programming and services also to pay television providers in the U.S. and Latin America. Additionally, from 2000 to 2016, Mr. Neuman served as a director of Intercable, the leading Venezuelan internet, telephone, and multi-channel video programming distributor, and from 2000 to 2007 as a director of Cablevision, the leading company providing those same services within Argentina. Mr. Neuman received a B.A. degree from the University of South Florida and an M.B.A. from Northwestern University.
